Lawrence Edward Barbee

Mr. Lawrence Barbee was born May 1, 1964 to John Barbee and the late Mary Ellen Nesmith Barbee in Durham, NC. Lawrence didn't have much schooling but he was a hard worker. He worked in construction for many years.

He met and married Ebony Reed and in this union raised three daughters. He was a loving and caring person that would support family in any way he could. Lawrence was an overall good person. He enjoyed coin collecting and other novelty items. One of his favorite things was to host family and friends and cook for them. His sweet potato pie and his ribs were always a joy.

Lawrence is proceeded in death by his mother and his sisters, Gwendolyn Barbee, Yolanda Barbee and Deloris Barbee.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura Billings, Lauren Barbee and Mary Barbee; his father; his brothers, Russell Barbee and Anthony Nesmith; four grandchildren, Kayla Pierce, Joshua Council, Deraeh Martin and Gwendolyn Barbee and a host of other family and friends.
