Sandy Ramsey, a resident of Howell, MI and Mesa, AZ, entered heaven peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the age of 74. She was born in Detroit on July 17, 1948, to Gerald and Mildred Risk (nee Dwight). Sandy married Ken Ramsey in Howell on June 27, 1992. Sandy enjoyed playing cards, especially Frustration Rummy, which she always seemed to win because Sandy was the rule maker, and the games were always played according to the “house rules”. She was a wonderful cook known especially for her baked beans, green beans, pan fried fish, and her tenderloin steak. Sandy loved hosting Christmas. She always took initiative to plan family gatherings and even her upcoming family reunion. Sandy kept books for the business her and Ken owned, Kovach’s Auto Service in Brighton, Michigan. When Sandy was not working or busy with planning family gatherings she enjoyed spending time on the computer playing online games. Beloved wife of Ken united in marriage 30 years. Loving mother of Roxanne (Mark) Parrino, Jerry (Sabrina) Latosinski, Kevin (Johanna) Ramsey, and Tina Ryan. Cherished grandmother of Cody Lawson, Jennifer LaLonde, Cody Parrino, Trevor Ryan, Carisa Ryan, Irelynne Ramsey, and Reise Ramsey. Twin sister of Sue Hall and sister of the late Nancy Summers. Sister-in-law of Bruce Summers. Sandy also leaves behind other loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends in Michigan and Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, MacDonald’s Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Avenue, Howell, MI 48843.
