When he was younger, he loved to take his wife and daughters camping throughout the year where he would often meet up with friends who were considered part of his extended family. John was also a devout man of God who played a very active role in his local churches as a servant leader. For those who knew John, everyone knew he could light up a room with his infectious smile and have everyone laughing with his sharp sense of humor. As we came into the church family John was always the first to greet us and make us feel at home. He was always gracious and loving and a wonderful example of Christ's love.
