Obituary
Alice Bair was born February 13, 1924, to Homer and Ruth (Woodcock) Brown at home in Alcester, SD. She was the fourth of six children joining brothers Bill, Ed and sister Shirley. Later came Norman (Pete) and LouLa Belle. Attending 12 years of school in Alcester, she graduated from high school in 1942. Alice traveled by train to Montana in 1942 where she met Richard (Dick) Bair in the Buffalo, MT, area. They were married August 29, 1945, in Lewistown MT. Three children: Jacqueline, James and Linda Rae joined their family. They resided in the Buffalo area until 1952 when they moved to Judith Gap. Alice was a stay at home mother always open to caring for other children. She was a "Jill" of all trades. Upon her husband's death she became a carpenter remodeling many houses in the area. She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law Earl "Bud" Beck, her parents, her brothers and sister Shirley. Those surviving are her daughter, Jackie Beck, son James, and daughter Linda (Larry) Thompson. Alice has four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren and her sister Lou Gold. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 1pm the Judith Gap Methodist Church.
