Bonnie F. Scanlon

<p>Newport, NH: Bonnie F. Scanlon, 73,&nbsp; passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Hospice Center in Lebanon, NH after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born on April 25, 1949 in Newport, NH to the late Francis Baker and Mary (Lord) Bulla.</p> <p>Bonnie lived all her life in the Newport area. She worked for more than 25 years as a phlebotomist at New London Hospital and trained many others at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. She enjoyed a good party when she was younger and always enjoyed getting together with family. Bonnie loved NASCAR and was a big Red Sox and Patriots fan. She will be missed by her friends and family.</p> <p>Bonnie was predeceased by her parents; husband, Joseph Scanlon; and brother, Leo Baker.</p> <p>Surviving family include her children, Brenda Smith and her husband Kurt, of Newport; Bobbie Jo Scanlon of Newport; and Joe Scanlon, Jr. of Newport; brother, Robert Baker and his partner, Shari of Concord; sister-in-law, Judy Baker; grandchildren, Kristi Cope and her partner, Brandon; Tiffany Cope, Aaron Hess, Shantel Scanlon, Stephanie Scanlon, Gabrielle Scanlon and Kaitlin; great-grandchildren, Jacob Fernald and Hailey Audet; and many extended family members.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 7 at 1:00 PM at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport with a celebration of life to follow.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

So very sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing. I worked with Bonnie at New London Hospital since 1991 and have fond memories of her. Bonnie was so caring and kind to the patients and staff. May her soul rest in peace.

Bonnie was such a wonderful woman. When I worked at Coronis maket her & her mom would come down to visit me. I loved to see them come through the door. We would laugh the whole time they were there. My condolences to the whole family, Cindy Thorp
