Cynthia Giles Obituary

Cynthia L. Giles (Hartman) passed from her earthly life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in the CCU of Fulton County Hospital. Cindy was born October 23, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles H. Hartman and Barbara J. Hartman (Heeter). She grew up in Holland, Ohio, where she graduated from Springfield High School, in 1979. She married Michael P. Giles, in October 1989. They had a great life together, fishing, panning for gold, traveling, and just loved being together. They were married for almost 25 years before Mike passed away, in February of 2014.

Music was an important part of Cindy’s life. She played in the band in high school and sang in the choir at Living Faith United Methodist Church. She was a devoted Vacation Bible school craft teacher and had a special place in her heart for kids. She will be loved and missed the most by her 4 nephews, whom she adored. She was best known for the scavenger hunts that she had created for them over the years. She will be missed by her cousins, the "Three Musketeers"!

She is survived by her parents; brother, Charlie (Shari); nephews, C.J., Patrick (Lindsey), Christopher (Kara), Samuel (fianceé Abby); grandnephews, William, Chandler, and grandnieces, Eleanor and Hadlie.

A viewing will take place on Monday, August 8th, from 4 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Walker Funeral Home, Holland, Ohio. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m at the funeral home. A private interment service will take place at Wakeman Cemetery, in Waterville, Ohio.
