Clifford Donald Carrico Obituary

Clifford Donald Carrico, 85, of Herndon, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Virginia Hospital Center. Born February 8, 1937, in Warrenton, he was the son of the late Willard A. Carrico and Grace L. Moore. Mr. Carrico is survived by his loving family: his wife Sharron A. (Rupard) Carrico; his daughter, Verda E. Viar; and his 3 grandchildren, Stephen A. Weller, Jr., Sara R. Weller, and Roy M. Viar; 7 great-grandchildren Macayla Weller, Madison Harder, Bryce Harder, Nathan Weller, Ashley Schumann, Hope Viar, and Jonathan Viar; his brother, Willard (Nooty) Carrico; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Carrico was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Mansfield; and two brothers, Gene and Robert Carrico. Mr. Carrico was an enlisted private in the U.S. Marines from March 1954 to December 1954 then enlisted as a Sailor in the U.S. Navy until he was honorably discharged. Mr. Carrico later worked for the Washington Metro as a bus driver and subway kiosk worker for 30+ years until his final retirement. A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. and services will start at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Ave W, Vienna, with Rev. Charles Geschiere officiating. Interment will be at Stonewall Memorial Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas.
