Maria Rinaldo passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 2, 2022. Maria was born in Lioni, Avellino, Italy on July 4, 1935. After graduating from Bernard's High School Maria worked at NJ Bell in Newark. This was followed by stints as a Nurse's Aide at Holly Manor Nursing home, a receptionist at a doctor's office in Succasunna before returning once more to work at NJ Bell. However, the career she most exceled at and was most proud of was being the quintessential Mom to her two children Joe and Connie as well as their friends and frankly everyone she met enjoyed her motherly presence.

Her Old World cooking skills were embodied by the pasta sauce she started on Wednesday for Sunday dinner as well as unparalleled salad dressing she made on a daily basis never once using a measuring tool. She also excelled at cooking from Dad's vegetable garden perfecting farm to table before it was a fad. After retiring from the phone company, she traveled extensively with her husband of 62 years throughout Europe, on multiple cruises, and her favorite destination Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Joe, as well as her children Connie of Wake Forest, NC and Joe Jr. of Littleton, CO.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at William J. Leber Funeral Home from 10:00am-11:30am at 15 Furnace Road in Chester. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Lawrence Church in Chester at 12:00pm. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery followed by a repast at Redwoods Restaurant.
