<div style="font-size:12pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;"><p style="margin:0;">Mary Elizabeth Capps Cartwright, age 90, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Princeton Health and Rehabilitation. </p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Mary was born on August 16, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late John Leslie "Johnnie" and Verdie Oates Capps. Mary enjoyed gardening and watching her family enjoy her delicious baked goods. She taught Sunday School for 55 plus years. Mary was the oldest living member of White Sulphur Baptist Church. She retired from the Caldwell County School District after many years of being a cafeteria worker at the Caldwell County Elementary School. She gave of her time to teach Vacation Bible School and through this endeavor, the children of the church, from generation to generation grew to love her. &nbsp;Mary's grandchildren were her reward for a life well spent. Her face beamed whenever she spoke of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The love for her family and church was the most important part of the life she lived. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Mary is survived by one daughter, Shelia Brennan of Fredonia; two sons, Ricky "Hoss" Cartwright and wife, Debbie of Princeton and Timothy "Timmy" Cartwright of Fredonia; one brother, John Lewis Capps of Johnson City, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Kimberly Haberlock and husband, Jeremy of Princeton, Michelle Brennan (Rae DeShawn) of Princeton, Mary Baker of Princeton, James William Brennan and wife, Gracie of Fredonia and Kendra Cartwright of Princeton; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Baker; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Hallum and Michael P'Poole; step-great grandchildren, Addy Brummett, Cole Baker, Jacob Hallum, Matt Hallum, Brady P'Poole and &nbsp;Madilynn P'Poole; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.</p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, James Ivan Cartwright; son-in-law, David Brennan; &nbsp;two sisters, Janetta Mayes and Rosetta Littlefield; and two brothers, William Capps and Henry Capps. </p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Visitation for Mary Cartwright will be held on Friday, &nbsp;August &nbsp;5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home.</p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Watson officiating and Bro. Roger Felker assisting. Burial will follow in White Sulphur Cemetery in Caldwell County. </p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to White Sulphur Cemetery Fund: c/o Doug James, 2230 Dawson Rd, Princeton, KY 42445.</p></div>
