Joseph E. Maull Obituary

Joseph Edward Maull, Jr., often referred to as Juny, peacefully passed away July 30, 2022. He was born November 27, 1946, to the late Joseph and Edith Maull of Lewes, Delaware.

Joseph grew up in Lewes and graduated in 1964, from William C. Jason High School in Georgetown, Delaware. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and spent two years in Bamburg, Germany. Before retiring in 2005, Joseph worked at the Dover Air Force Base Dining Facility.

On October 18, 1968, Joe married Jacqueline Cirwithian. Following marriage, they began raising their children and instilling a strong sense of family values. As supportive parents, they traveled all over the United States to visit their children no matter the distance. Joe repeatedly encouraged his children to be the “Best of the Best!”

Joe was always the life of a party. He enjoyed singing, dancing and an “occasional” drink. He loved watching westerns and calling on family in the middle of the night. Joe was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and could often be found wearing his Saints jersey and many hats. Horse racing was his passion. He attended numerous Kentucky Derby races and was always excited for all legs of the Triple Crown. Joe was very outspoken. You may not have always liked what he had to say, but he always had something to say. The phrase “I got something to say!” was always heard at any family gathering.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline and sons, Jeffery Maull and Jerome Maull I (Crystal).

Joe leaves to cherish his memory, four sons, Parcell Cirwithian (Belinda) of Camden, DE, Joseph Maull III (Magdalena) of San Diego, CA, Jayme Maull of Camden, and Jarrell Maull I of Frederica, DE; five daughters, Tracee Cain (Anthony) of Camden, DE, Natashia Green (Robert) of Severna Park, MD, Yzonya Maull of Hampton, VA, Brandi Maull of Pasadena, MD, and Dawn Manchester (Aaron) of Magnolia, DE; 20 grandchildren, Tanisha, Joslin, Aiden, Ian, LJ, Zion, Taylor, Jayden, Jacquan, Jhai, Jayla, Kelsey, Breyanna, Sierra, Jerome II, Jeffrey, Jason, Alijah, Aldin and Adison; five great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jermany, Icelan, Kayden and Malaya; six brothers, Julius, Jerry, Gilbert, Wallace Jay, Anthony and Lionel; three sisters, Jacqueline, Janet, and Lavinia; along with a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
