SUFFOLK- Wanda Suthers Orr, 77, died August 3, 2022. A native of Wytheville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Irene P. and Herman A. Suthers, Sr. She was a retired program analyst for the U.S. Coast Guard Finance Center. Wanda was a member of Green Acres Presbyterian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a 1966 graduate of Virginia Tech, a Virginia Tech football fan, and a fabulous cook. Wanda is survived by her husband of 17 years, Don L. Orr; daughter, Angela I. Terry and husband Christopher; son, David E. Frye and wife Leisa; two sisters, Bettie Pendleton and Donna Wright; brother, H.A. Suthers, Jr.; and four grandchildren, Matthew Frye, Clayton Terry, Shawn Terry and Graham Terry. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 2 PM at Green Acres Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church the hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Green Acres Presbyterian Church.
