Kenneth Ray Talbert Obituary

Kenneth Ray “Ken” Talbert, 95, Kokomo, passed away at 2:06 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.  He is now standing in the presence of his Lord and Savior.  He was born March 23, 1927, in Greentown, IN, the son of the late Russell & Nellie (Landrum) Talbert.  On August 12, 1989, he married Annie Mae (Wood) Farrer who survives.

Ken graduated from Greentown High School in 1945.  He served with the United States Army 1945-1947 during WWII.  He was an electrician working with his dad and brothers in the early years. He worked many years for Moorehead Electric before going to Delco Electronics and then retiring after 14 years.  Ken was a member of N.E.B.F. and received his 75 year certificate from the I.B.E.W.  He worked very hard to provide for his family.  Ken was very patriotic and loved his country.  He collected eagles and has close to 50 of them.

In 1949 at the age of 22, he gave his life to Jesus.  His love for God came first! He sang in the Kingsman Quartet for 22 years and also played drums. He also sang in the Morning Star Trio with his daughter Colette for several years too.  Ken loved being with his wife, Annie and his family.  Ken loved to camp, travel and was quite the gardener.

Along with his wife Annie, Ken is also survived by his children, Kevin Talbert, Colette (Don) Hoover, Joseph (Denise) Farrer, Lynna (Paul) Henry and Mark Farrer; grandchildren, Amanda Farrer, Paul III (Sharon) Henry, Kayla (Steve) Featherstone, Carrie (Scott) Bailey, Dustin Farrer (Conner Conley), Terry (Jessica) Little and Brennan Farrer; great-grandchildren, Emma Henry, Paul Henry IV, Brayden Bailey, Eian Featherstone, Isabella Bailey, Jaxon Farrer, Kinleigh Farrer and Kaius Little; sister, Natalie Smith; sister-in-law, Phyllis Talbert, along with several nieces and nephews.
