It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anna Lisa (Mattsson) Carrick-Wiggins who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones on July 31, 2022. Anna lost a long and brave battle with COPD and is finally at peace. Anna was born in St. Stephen NB on April 4, 1953 to the late Olov and Helen (Thompson) Mattsson. <br><br>Anna is survived by her loving husband, Dana Wiggins; children, Ronnie, Candise, Ashley, and Alaira; grandchildren, Amber, Katie, Brandon, Michael, Kyle, Hailey and Evan; great grandson Isaiah; brothers, Larry, Russ and Donnie; sisters, Kris, Mariea, and Betty; brothers-in-law, Clark, Lyle and Carey; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Sherry; many nieces, nephews and cousins. <br> <br>Anna was predeceased by her parents; mother-in-law Geraldine; father-in-law Sterling; brothers, Carl and Devirn; sister Ruth and sister-in-law Deanna. <br><br>Anna loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed her summers at their trailer in Island View campground at St. Andrews for over 25 years spending time with family and friends, especially her time spent at the pool with grandson Michael. Anna enjoyed playing cribbage both at home and the trailer. <br> <br>Anna was the cook for the Rothesay Netherwood School and enjoyed cooking for the students. She later worked for the Rothesay Avenue Atlantic Superstore in Saint John NB. Anna will be forever loved and forever remembered. <br> <br>The cremation is under the care and direction of the Chipman funeral home. There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Grand Bay Baptist Church (77 Woolastook Drive, Grand Bay-Westfield NB). There will be a reception at the church following the service.
