Richard C. DeWulf

<p>Richard C. DeWulf, 90, of Murrayville, Georgia and formerly of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his daughter by his side on Friday, July 29, 2022.</p> <p>Richard is survived by his daughter, Debra (Sammy) Smith of Murrayville, Georgia; son, Rich (Linda) DeWulf of Buchanan, Michigan; five grandchildren, Billy (Karen) Chandler, Melissa (Darryle) Holcomb; Brian (Melanie) Chandler, Joshua (Jennifer) DeWulf and Cliff Smith; five great grandchildren, Jason Chandler, Carli and Chandler Holcomb, Caden and Christian DeWulf; sister, Joann Connor; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Richard was preceded in death by his wife Nancy; parents Henry and Martha (Madou) DeWulf, brothers Henry, Lawrence, and John; sisters Esther Menhennett and Patricia Sabbe.</p> <p>In 1951 Richard joined the U.S. Marines Corps serving 2 tours of duty during the Korean War with an honorable discharge in 1954.&nbsp; He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.</p> <p>Richard married the love of his life Nancy in 1954. Employed by Cities Service (Citgo) Oil Co., for 35 years as Sales Manager with many accomplishments, retiring in Naples, FL in 1989.&nbsp; They traveled the world together visiting 12 different countries.</p> <p>Richard was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka at a later date.&nbsp;</p> <p>The family would like to thank the caregivers of BeeHive Homes of Gainesville for the love and support they provided to Richard during his residency there and the staff of Inspire Hospice.</p> <p>Local arrangements are under the care of Goethals &amp; Wells Funeral Home, Mishawaka.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
