John Darryl Allen

Mr. John “Darryl” Allen, age 49, of Baltimore, MD passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on Friday, July 22,2022. John “Darryl” Allen was born in Waterbury, CT on September 25,1972 to Sally Weathers and the late John Henry Allen.

John “Darryl” attended Waterbury public schools. His passion was cutting hair.  John “Darryl” Allen worked as a barber in Maine, Torrington, Waterbury, and Baltimore. He worked at Dave’s, Upscale’s, and was most recently employed at My Spot Barbershop. Most of his customers referred to him as Dee Da Barber.

John “Darryl” Allen was known for his sense of humor and was the family jokester.  Darryl loved to play video games and ride his motorcycle. Darryl loved his family. His grandson Ezra was his partner in crime and was the apple of his eye. Wherever John “Darryl” Allen went, he made friends. He just had that personality.

Besides his mother, John “Darryl” Allen leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Alexis Queen; stepchildren, Akala Reed and Johnny Fleming; two sisters, Darlene Rodriguez (Xiomar) and Tracey Allen; one brother, Marcus Allen (Gabrielle); three grandchildren, Ezra Allen, Zariah Bell and Zamir.
