Barbara M. Howell IRWINTON - Barbara Mercer Howell, 84, of J.D. Howell Rd., Nickelsville Community, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday August 2, 2022 surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held Thursday August 4, 2022 at 11:00 am in Big Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Alfred Daniell will officiate. Mrs. Howell was born in Dublin, GA to the late James Wallace Mercer and Doris Bradshaw Mercer. She was the widow of the late James Morgan “J.M.” Howell and was preceded in death by her sister Anne Mercer and brother James Wallace “Jimmy “ Mercer. Barbara was retired as owner/operator of H and M Chevron in Allentown. She was a member of Big Sandy Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Tammy (Robert) Dame and Jason (Rhonda) Howell. Grandchildren, Josh (Christina) Howell, Kate D. (Ryan) McCullars, Hannah H. (Clark) Hicks, Cam (Brittney) Dame, Kelsey D. (Grady) Cullens, and Abbie H. (J.W.) Oliver; Great Grandchildren, Kix McCullars, Ellie Hicks, Bobbi Kate McCullars, Corban Hicks, Mox Howell, John Wayne Oliver, Bo Dame, Ivey Grace Howell, Mac Cullens, and Brynlee Oliver.
