Clyde Kerington Cox, 81, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on November 30, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on March 5, 1940, in Raleigh County, WV, son of the late Clyde William and Clara Lu Akers Cox. He was a member of the Independent United Brethren Church where he served as a Trustee. He enjoyed hunting, photography, cooking, and he loved his cat, Shadow. He was a general technician with Shinn Electric in Ripley for many years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his spouse of 29 years and 29 days, Sharon (Carpenter) Divers Cox; 1 son; 3 stepchildren; grandchildren, John and Emily Divers, Janie Sinnett, Dani (Andrew) Hupp, Dalton and Dakota Burgess; great grandson, Beau Hupp; sister, Janice Cunningham, SC; and 1 niece and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Clara Cox. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Independent United Brethren Church in Ravenswood with Reverend Matt Matics and Reverend Anton Hager officiating.
