Benjamin Franklin McCauley

Benjamin Franklin McCauley, 89, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away at his home on December 21, 2020. He was born on September 23, 1931, in McCandlish, WV, a son, of the late Benjamin Harrison and Ruby Ann Apperson McCauley. Ben was a member of North United Methodist Church of Ravenswood, a member of the CPL. Walter L. Mann Detachment 1065, Marine Corps League. He was a member of USWA Local 5668, Ravenswood and retired from Kaiser Aluminum. Ben loved doing suduko and jigsaw puzzles, was an avid reader and enjoyed pitching horseshoes. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lavon; his daughter, Robin Smith and her husband, Gerald and his son, Benjamin McCauley, II and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lindsey, Brandon, Brittany and Brooke; great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Olivia, Sydney and Ben; his brothers, Bill, Gary and Pete; and his sisters, Mary Ellen and Charlotte. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his brother, Avon; and sisters, Janice, Ruby, Phyllis, Opal and Christine. Friends may visit at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Pastor Don Maxson will conduct a private family funeral service after the visitation. Burial will follow at the Ravenswood Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by the CPL. Walter L.
