Jerry Michael Johnson, Jr. 62, of Racine, Ohio, departed this life on June 13, 2021, at his home. He was born March 24, 1959, in Rochester, PA, son of the late Jerry M. and Dorothy A. Derouin Johnson. He attended the Antiquity Baptist Church. He was a 1977 graduate of Southern High School. He loved football and after graduation he went to college and played football for a year at Glenville State University. He was an avid Steelers fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Russell Johnson; parents, Jerry M. and Dorothy A. Johnson; sister, Valerie Neigler; and grandparents, Reverend Florence Smith and Bob Smith; Edward Derouin; and Ernest and Emma Johnson. Surviving is his daughter, Amanda Theiss, Racine, OH; sisters, Della (Carl) Wolfe, Myrtle Beach, SC, Michelle Graham, Parkersburg, WV, Jennifer Johnson, Bucktown, OH; grandchildren, Catie Casto and Jakob Saxon; brothers-in-law, Rodney Neigler, Danny Russell, Gerald Moore, John Moore; sisters-in-law, Mary Moore Singh and Lora Stone; aunt, Carol D. Freeman, Michigan; uncle Joe (Sue) Derouin, Pennsylvania; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Racine United Methodist Church in Racine, Ohio. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with service beginning at 2:00 pm with Reverend Larry Fisher officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roush Funeral Home, PO Box 933, Ravenswood, WV 26164, to help with funeral expenses.
