Geraldine Gerlach, 86, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life on September 12, 2021, after a long illness. Geraldine was born in Letart, WV, to William T. and Bertie M. Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Gerlach, Jr.; six sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children, Jerri Stephens (Donald) of Ravenswood, WV; Debra Drake (Tim) of Bridgeport, WV; and Pamela Gerlach of Stonewood, WV; five grandsons, Christopher (Kerri) of Sardis, WV; David Pitts of Stonewood, WV; Jed Stephens of Ravenswood, WV; Shannon Stephens of Ravenswood, WV; Seth Stephens (Charlotte) of Ravenswood, WV; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Angie and Richard Casto of Murraysville, WV. The family also wishes to thank her neighbors who enriched her life these past years. Geraldine was a homemaker her entire life and was a former volunteer "Gray Lady" at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, WV. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members only with a picnic celebration of her life at a later date. Pastor Tommy Nutter will be officiating. The family requests that mourners wear a mask due to the rise in Covid-19 outbreaks.
