Cyrus Don Hatfield

Cyrus Don Hatfield, 84, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on June 16, 2021, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. He was born on January 16, 1937, in Red Jacket, WV, son of the late Cyrus Willard and Wilma Smith Hatfield. Cyrus was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ravenswood. He was also a member of the Parkersburg VFW. He retired after 38 years of service to the IBM Corporation, where he was a Field Customer Engineer. Following his retirement from IBM, he worked at Century Aluminum in Ravenswood. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and taught gun safety classes. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Linda Collins Tackett Hatfield; son, Cyrus Richard Hatfield; stepdaughters, Angela Pytel and Denise Spainhower; 4 grandchildren, Jarod, Sierra, Caleb, and Kailey; and great granddaughter, Lily Aurora. Friends may visit the family at the First Presbyterian Church in Ravenswood on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 10:00 am until 10:30 am. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 am with Pastor Darren Spainhower officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park in Milton, WV, at 12:30 pm, with full graveside military rites. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1606 Kanawha Blvd, W., Charleston, WV 25387-2536.
