She was born on June 19, 1928, in Vulcan, WV, daughter of the late Wallace and Vada Mounts. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Gallatin Street Church of Christ in Ravenswood. She was a Grandma through the Jackson County Foster Grandparent Program at Henry J. Kaiser Elementary for many years, and she was also a cook for many years. She is survived by her children, Randall Thornhill and wife Linda, Ravenswood, WV, and Mary "Kathy" Hinzman-Floyd, Ravenswood, WV; 9 grandchildren, Scott, Matt, Jamie, Sarah, Justin, Amber, Heather, Seletha, and Paul; and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughter, Sharon; and granddaughter, Nicole. Services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood. The speaker for the service will be Calvin Curry. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Friday, July 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and one hour before the service on Saturday.
