She was born on June 9, 1931, in Pliny, WV, daughter of the late Ruben Ernest and Goldie DeVore Nowlin. Uda was a beautician in the community for 20 years, and a volunteer at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, WV. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenswood. She enjoyed her many community activities and she also enjoyed oil painting and traveling. She is survived by her son, John Wiggins and his wife Linda; 5 grandchildren; 4 nieces; 4 nephews; and a brother, Wendell Nowlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Wiggins; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenswood with The Reverend Marie Mulford officiating. There will be one hour of visitation before the service. Uda's family would like to give a special thanks to niece, Cindy Gentry, and Bob and Judy Blare.
