She was born on July 23, 1971, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of Jimmy Larry and Karon Sue Roush Connolly. Shelly was a member of the Carmel-Sutton United Methodist Church in Racine, Ohio. She was a 1989 graduate of Southern High School and a 2006 graduate of Hocking College. She was a nurse at Ohio Valley Home Health. She enjoyed being with her family and vacationing at the beach. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Karon Connolly of Syracuse, Ohio; 3 sons, Braxton, Tanner, and Weston, of the home; brother, Brian (Angie) Connolly, of Racine, Ohio, sister-in-law, Ginnee (Adam) Lee of Racine, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Zach (Nikki) Connolly, Jesse and Jaden Connolly, Grace and Everett Lee; great niece, Ashtyn Connolly; special cousin, Angie (Tim) Fortner; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 25 years, Brian Thorla. Services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Racine United Methodist Church with Reverend Vickie Cundiff and Reverend Arlan King officiating. Burial will follow in Letart Falls Cemetery, Racine, Ohio. Friends may visit the family at the church on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
