He was born on October 16, 1941, in Morgantown, WV, son of the late Burgett and Mary Feather Johns. Thomas was a member of Ashton Lodge #12 in Ravenswood. He had been employed as a production foreman from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood and retired from Pechiney Rolled Products in 2001. He coached little league, and was an umpire for local games. He also enjoyed other sports. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. Thomas is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Newlon Johns of Ravenswood; sons, Mark and wife Tracie of Scott Depot, WV, and Kevin Johns of Ravenswood; granddaughters, Kaylee and Chloe; sister, Rosemary Stephenson and husband John of Ravenswood; niece, Beth Wood; and nephews, Tom and Bradley Stephenson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Ravenswood with Pastor Mark Gerstell officiating. Friends may visit the family at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
