She was born on December 10, 1939, in Salisbury, MD, daughter of the late Bryce Messick and Catherine McPhail Foxwell. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Ravenswood and a hairdresser for many years. Patricia is survived by her husband Merrell Wayne Howard, Ravenswood, WV; children, Diana K. Hughes, Phoenix, AZ, Matthew Wayne Howard and Mark Christopher Howard, both of Cincinnati, OH, and Thomas Michael Howard, Ravenswood, WV; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Howard; and grandson, Michael Wayne Howard. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Father Pen officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, WV. Friends will be received at Roush Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
