Dorothy Faye Skeen
Dorothy Faye (Winters) Skeen of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on April 4, 2022, at Jackson General Hospital, after a short illness. Dorothy was born in Fairplain, WV, on April 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Christopher and Elizabeth (Casto) Winters. She raised her two sons on Grasslick Road, then went to work at Jackson General Hospital for over 25 years. She was an avid reader, loved to do/make crafts, bake, and looked forward to Bingo nights with her friends at Ravenswood Station Senior Apartments, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and her only brother, Christopher. Left behind are those she loved: her sons, Chuck (Carol) Greene and Rick (Brenda) Greene, all of Fairplain; grandchildren, Heather (Eric) Holmes, Kristen (Shawn) Rhodes, Jack (Jennifer) Greene, Brett (Marissa) Greene, and Jackson Sayre; great grandchildren, Natasha Rhodes (Derek Martin), Mallory Rhodes (Zach Keenan), Alexis Lewis, Hayley (Draven) Dunlap, Brianna Holmes, Easton Holmes, Jacob (Sidney) Greene, Todd Greene, Lydia Greene, Mila Greene, and Avery Hill; great-great grandchildren, Kenadee, McKynlee, Parker, Bowyn, Julian, and Saige. Also survived by her loving sister, Kathy (Don) Smith of Ravenswood; niece, Brittany (Eric) Canady; great nephew and niece, Chris and Kate Canady; sister-in-law, Sandra Winters and family of St. Louis, MO; Brenda's children, and former husband and loyal companion, Hermis Skeen. Honoring their mother's wishes, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Fairplain Cemetery.
