Ronald Greenleaf, 73, of Ravenswood, WV passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 31, 1948, in Sutton, WV, son of the late Donald and Ruby White Greenleaf. Ronnie was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Ravenswood. He was a Merchant Marine, Assistant Mill Operator at Kaiser/Ravenswood Aluminum for 26 years. He was very active in the United Steel Workers of America serving as a safety representative for Local 5668, and he was an entrepreneur co-owning Greenleaf Pest Control, Greenleaf Water Hauling, The Checkerboard, and Greenleaf Tires. He enjoyed camping, trips to the beach, fishing, bowling, softball, tennis, family cookouts, playing cards, watching westerns, dancing, singing, art, and woodworking. Ronnie is survived by the love of his life Kathy (Hood) Greenleaf, married 48 years; his daughter, Nikkii Greenleaf; his beloved baby sister, Bev Bever (Jimmy); his brothers, Jim Greenleaf (Karen), and Donnie Greenleaf (Carol); sisters-in-law, Paula Walker, and Patty Hood; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Greenleaf (Marie), Donnie Lee Greenleaf (Karen), Laurie Jean Greenleaf, Katie Dawn Gill (Matt), Kelly Corley (Greg), David Hood II (Katy), Brandi Ordonio, Bridgett Walker; several great nieces and nephews; and his grand-dog, Bella Bambino. Ronnie was proceeded in death by his parents, Don and Ruby Greenleaf; his in-laws, Alford and Colleen Hood; his grandparents; his brothers-in-law, David Hood I, David Neil Walker, and Randy Hood; and his nephew, Hunter Todd Greenleaf; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
