Dean, 85, of Ravenswood, WV, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2019, after a short illness. He was born in Strange Creek, Braxton County, WV son of the late Thomas Emery and Blanche (Chapman) Dean. An Army Veteran, Glen was an avid outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting, music and drinking coffee with his buddies at McDonalds. He was an employee of Kaiser Aluminum, retiring from Pechiney Rolled Products with 36 years of service. He was a member of local United Steel Workers Union #5668, Husky Musky Club and the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Francis (Bayne) Dean; brothers, Johnnie "Rob", Everett "Chip" and Ernest "Ernie" Dean; sister, Prudence Lambert; and granddaughter, Emeleigh Willis. Surviving are his wife, Carla (Holton) Dean; sisters, Beulah Prince, FL, Eulah Young, Glendon, WV, Jean (Charles) Dancy, Dille, WV, and Eva (Tom) Lowery, Charleston, WV; sons, Glen Kenneth "Ken" Dean Jr. of Charleston, WV, and Gary (Nichole) Dean of Evans, WV; daughters, Janet (Jerry) Dean of Cleves, OH; Sandy (Rick) Burns of Carroll, OH; Tammy Morrison of Ravenswood, WV; Pam (Jeff) Scritchfield of Ravenswood, WV; Tammy (Ray) Burgess of Millwood, WV; Lori (Bobby) Cook of Gainesville, GA; and Becky (Doug) Willis of Bridgeport, WV; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held 6-8pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, on Tuesday January 22, 2019. There will also be a viewing from 11 am-12 noon with funeral services beginning at 12 noon January 23, 2019, at the funeral home.
