Virginia Dennisene "Ginny" Boyd, 94, of Sandyville, WV, passed away on March 22, 2022, at her home. She was born on February 16, 1928, in Clendenin, WV, the daughter of the late Lydia Groves Dulik. Virginia went to East Bank High School and Chelyan Middle School. She was a life member of the Jackson County Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3488, Sandyville, and Jackson County VFW Auxiliary Post 6669, Ravenswood. She attended Sandyville Independence Methodist Church. Ginny was an avid bowler for the Ripley Bowling League. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jack, and her family. She had many adventures with her friends traveling on the tour buses. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Boyd (Greg Morgan); and son, Bill Boyd (Charlene) of Sandyville; 8 grandchildren, Kathy Jo Boyd, Teresa Kelly, Jodie Snyder, Michelle Roush, Johnny Boyd, Billy Boyd, Kayla Boyd, Joshua Boyd; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; brother, Gordon Anderson; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald "Jack" Boyd; sons, Michael Boyd and John Boyd; brother, Don Anderson; and great grandchild, Montana Hundley. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Andrew Rood officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery in Sandyville, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Sunday, March 27, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, time of service.
