Visitation Location: Roush Funeral Home Visitation Time: Sunday, January 13 (12-3PM) Service Location: Roush Funeral Home Service Time: Sunday, January 13 (3PM) Ann Staats passed peacefully January 10, 2019, at the Ravenswood Village. Ann was born in Fenwick, WV, second child of Robert Burl Perrine and Lona Jackson Perrine. She attended beauty school and worked as a hair stylist in Parkersburg and Ripley. Later in her life, she attended Graduate Real Estate Institute classes at Little Hocking College where she earned her GRI. She was a successful Century 21 real estate agent in Ripley. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, an active member of the Civic Woman's Club of Ravenswood, a former member of the Lioness Club, and a member of the Stardusters Square Dance Club. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, sewing, reading, painting and cooking even winning cooking contests. She also shared her love of cooking with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by teaching them the technique of preserving food and making jams and jellies. She truly loved her family and went above and beyond to do what was best for them. Ann was a person who was never too busy to help a friend or family member in need. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Staats, a grandson, Joshua Brandon, and four siblings (Kathleen Reger (Roscoe), Franklin Perrine (Joanne), Poncell Callas (Nick), and Robert Perrine (Christine)). She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Cecelia (Jo) Miller (Charles) of Erie, Pa.; her two daughters, Anita Brandon (Wayne) of Rockvale, TN and Jane Elkins (Paul) of Parkersburg, WV; one son, Robert (Bob) Staats II of Ravenswood, WV ; her grandchildren David Brandon, Mary Fitzpatrick (T. J.), Anna Brandon (Byron White), Sarah Brandon, Michael Brandon (Sydney), Kristi Elkins, Cynthia Elkins, Daniel Elkins and Taylor Combs (Tracy Lovins); her great-grandchildren Amaya Elkins and Ciara Elkins; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 3:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood. Pastor David Johnston of Ravenswood United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be at Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Sunday, January 13, from 12 noon to 3 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 719 Flinn Ave, Ravenswood, WV 26164.
