She was born on August 4, 1954, in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of Earl Palmer and the late Doris Lyne Palmer. She attended grade school and junior high school in Cottageville and was a 1972 graduate of Ravenswood High School. She moved back to Jackson County in the summer of 1994 to be a dedicated caregiver to her father, Earl. She enjoyed cross stitching, basketmaking and photography. She is survived by her father, Earl Palmer; sister, Marilyn Palmer Richards; brother, Jeff Palmer (Alex) of Shepperton, England; and niece, Isabella "Issi" Palmer, also of Shepperton, England. Visitation will be held at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood on Friday, December 21, 2018, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm. Pastor Chris Skeens is officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Pleasants Memorial Estates Cemetery in Eureka, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of West Virginia, PO Box 3980, Charleston, WV 25339-3980.
