Teresa Lynn Hurd Hodge

Teresa Lynn Hurd Hodge, 54, of Cottageville, WV, went to her Heavenly home on November 9, 2020, to be with her parents. Her passing was due to complications from a sudden heart attack. Teresa was born on November 9, 1966, in Sandyville, WV, daughter of the late Pearl Lee and Ethel Mae Folden Hurd. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Edwin Ray Hodge of Cottageville, WV; their youngest son, Ethen Ray Leevi Hodge, also of Cottageville; middle son, Justin Michael Hodge and wife Ashley of Hazen, ND; and oldest son, Jonathan Ray Hodge and wife Kaitlyn P. Ward of Ripley, WV; brother, Earl Lee Hurd and his wife Debbie Hurd (also Teresa's mother by heart) of Cottageville; sister, Brenda Mae Fisher and her husband David of Leon, WV; and adopted daughter, Debbie Adkins, and her children, Phillip, Jr., and Bre-Lynn Adkins of Ripley, WV. Teresa also has many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law that she loved dearly. She was a loving aunt of many nieces and nephews-in-law and great nieces and nephews-in-law. Teresa's grandchildren are Bryson Hodge, Zaden Roush, Izabella, Blake, Avery and Alexis Hodge, Kiyah Kraus, Kaidence Culp, Liam and Charliegh Frazier; and many, many cousins and in-laws; Jeremy and Melvina Hurd and their children, Jasmine, Josiah, and Mateo Hurd of Avon Park, FL; Angel Lynn and Johnie Blocker of Lancaster, SC, and their children, Morgan Graves of Cottageville, Madison Hurd, also of Lancaster, SC, Patricia Lee and William Frazier of Cottageville; and her special friends, Jerri Sisson and Crystal Lawson of Cottageville; and aunts, Helen Westbrook (whom named her), Mary Ott, and Linda McGrew; and an uncle, Earl (Shirley) Folden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles F. Hodge; mother-in-law, Dorthy Adkins Mullins. Teresa was a lifetime resident of Jackson County, WV. For numerous years, she clerked for Mt. Alto Auction and loved her auction house family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, and loved her family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 10:00 am at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Jeremy Hurd officiating. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, November 14, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roush Funeral Home, P.O. Teresa was born on November 9, 1966, in Sandyville, WV, daughter of the late Pearl Lee and Ethel Mae Folden Hurd.
