Roy Lee DeLong, 75, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on September 28, 2018, at Ravenswood Care Center. He was born on May 24, 1943, in Jackson County, WV, son of the late Roy Chester and Inez Geraldine Cather DeLong. He was a member of USWA Local 5668 in Ravenswood. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. Roy enjoyed a good laugh and a joke, and was always remembered for his smile. He also enjoyed hunting with his nephews. Roy was a devoted husband and father. He retired from Pechiney Rolled Products in Ravenswood. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Ann Milhoan DeLong; daughters, Denise (Chuck) Farmer, Kim Nuckles, and Lisa (Travis) Archer; sisters, Loretta Carter, Leah (Bob) Dent, Rhonda (Danny) Lester, and Doris (Greg) Conger; grandchildren, Richard (Amber), Andrew (David), Molly and Casey; great granddaughter, Ryleigh Grace; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Adria, Paul Chester, and Roger; and a sister, Margie.
