Visitation Location: Roush Funeral Home Visitation Time: Friday, September 7 (6-8pm) Service Location: Roush Funeral Home Service Hours: Saturday, September 8 (1PM) Velda Ruth Rolston, 87, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life on September 4, 2018, at Eagle Pointe in Parkersburg, WV, after a long battle with dementia. She was born in Roane County, WV, on December 8, 1930, a daughter of William and Carrie Ashley Benson. She was a long-time member of North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. The joys of her life were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed painting and sewing. She and her husband of 60 years, Kermit, spent many years and miles traveling and camping throughout the United States and were long-time members of the Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicle Club. Surviving are her two daughters, Pam Wyant of Ripley, WV, and Brenda (Bob) Miller of Parkersburg, WV; one brother, Bob (Pat) Benson; sisters, Janet (Ross) McKnight and Joan Pigott; five grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Rolston-Bare, Jessica Hartley, Kayla (Andrew) Bellville, Robbie (Michelle) Miller and Carrie Miller; eleven great grandchildren, Daykota, Camden, Makinzy, Addison, Alaina, Landon, Jaelyn, Kaelyn, Payce, Adalyn and Ashton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Kermit William, and one brother, Jack Benson. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Reverend Tom Nolan and Pastor Don Maxson officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, or to "The Gathering", a regional organization that helps children in need, c/o Roush Funeral Home, P.O.
