Buzzard, 90, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on July 22, 2017, at his home. He was born on December 27, 1926, in Ritchie County, WV, son of the late Henry Clark and Chantilla Rogers Buzzard. Burl was a member of the North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. He loved woodworking, camping, and watching baseball and NASCAR. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. Burl was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood. He is survived by his children, Marsha (Earl) Smith of New Martinsville, WV, Shelley Hines of Moundsville, WV, Sue (Herb) Miller of New Martinsville, WV, Jeff (Connie) Benson of Huntington, WV, Terry (Liz) Benson of Spring City, Tenn, Trudy (Jeff) Humphreys of Ravenswood, WV; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy (Willard) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Anne and Wilma and his brothers and sisters, Kenneth Buzzard, Ora McAtee, Maurice Buzzard, Dora Wright, Okey Buzzard, and Donald Buzzard. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 11:00 am at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Don Maxson officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery with graveside military rites provided by Jackson County Honor Guard. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
