She was born on June 22, 1944, in Murraysville, WV, daughter of the late Ira V. and Eliza C. Salser Kimes. She loved her family deeply, and she also loved her pets, Toby and Smokey. She enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, and flowers. She attended Milhoan Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her four daughters, Shelly Haubert of Lorain, OH, Rhonda (John) Byrne of Lorain, OH, Beverly (Phil) Puckett of Nankin, OH, and Sharon (Josh) Huff of Ashland, OH; 2 sisters, Shirley (Mike) Miller of Coolville, OH, and Janet (Bill) Boggs of Ravenswood, WV; 1 brother, Ira (Nancy) Kimes of Parkersburg, WV; 13 grandchildren, Crystal, Ray Jr., Brian, Patricia, Jeffrey, Joshua, Benjamin, Donald Allen, Kevin, Amber, Steven, Kayla and Dylan; and 21 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Freddie Sams; sister, Irene Salser; brother, Ronald Kimes; and grandson, Jacob. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 5:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with Reverend Phil Puckett officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roush Funeral Home, P.O.
