Everett Doyle Randolph

Everett was born in Ripley, West Virginia on January 9, 1931 and was the last surviving child of Willard and Nellie Randolph. His brothers were Cleophas, Leopha, Gerald, Willard Jr., Kenneth and Jennings. His sisters were Betty King and Viola Sayre. Everett passed away peacefully in his sleep at 3:10 am, Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Ripley, West Virginia. Everett's wife of 61 years, Lola Belle (Jewell) Randolph preceded him in death on December 22, 2015. Though Everett and Lola Belle had no children of their own, they leave behind many nieces, nephews and the kids of several friends, who were all like children to them. Everett was a lifelong farmer. He grew the best gardens and Polled Hereford Cattle - anywhere to be found! He had many passions, not the least of which was collecting antiques and going to yard sales! Before he went to the nursing home, you'd find him most days in his garage with the door up and a For Sale sign hung out! Folks would either stop and buy his treasures or sit and sip coffee with him for a spell. Everett worked many years for Joe Vale of Vale Funeral Home in Ripley. He retired from Kardex of Marietta, Ohio, where he worked as a welder for many years. Everett and Lola Belle also had a passion for 4-H, so much so they funded a scholarship for 4-H kids administered by JCCI of Ripley. You'd also find them every summer at Cedar Lakes doing something for 4-H. They were the leaders of the 4-H Mountaineers Club, in Murrysville for decades. When they weren't doing 4-H they'd be making Apple Butter with the Scouts at Coleman Chapel of Murrysville. Everett served honorably in the Army and saw service in Korea during the Korean War. What most people don't know is, Everett gave his heart to the Lord, at the altar, in a Billy Graham Crusade in Korea during the war. Everett will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Ravenswood Cemetery in Ravenswood, West Virginia. Due to COVID-19 a private family graveside service will be held on Saturday May 2, 2020, conducted by a nephew of Everett's, Rev. Lee Randolph of Stone Creek, Ohio.
