Graveside Service Location: Ravenswood Cemetery Graveside Service Time: Friday, May 26 (1PM) Officiated By: Pastor Don Maxson Eileen Cohen McNeeley, 73, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on May 23, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. She was born on September 27, 1943, in Queens, NY, daughter of the late Abraham and Faye Berger Cohen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen T. McNeeley of Ravenswood, and one brother. She is survived by a brother, and a few nieces. Eileen was active with the Jackson County Humane Society and many other animal groups. She had made a legacy gift with the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation to give financial aid to veterinarian students statewide with preference to Jackson County, Jackson County Animal Welfare Fund, and funding the Homeless Veterans Resource Center in Huntington, WV. She was the former owner/operator of Sandy Creek Farms. Her family included many cats, horses, dogs, and any others that needed a home. She was surrounded by many friends who loved her dearly. Anyone wanting to make a memorial gift can do so to the Jackson County Community Foundation in her honor. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Ravenswood Cemetery in Ravenswood with Pastor Don Maxson officiating.
