Location of Services: Ravenswood Church of the Nazarene Time of Services: Saturday, March 12 (1PM) Officiated By: Pastor David Shirer Robert Bernard Hughes, 82, of Millwood, WV, passed away on March 5, 2016, at his home. He was born on January 27, 1934, in Doddridge County, WV, son of the late Charles and Eva Mide Stout Hughes. Robert was a member of the Ravenswood Church of the Nazarene. He retired as a Scalper Operator at Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially woodworking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Miller Hughes; 3 daughters, Cynthia Ray (Ron), Ravenswood, WV; Lynn Bentley, Millwood, WV; and Teresa Peters (Kevin), Sunrise, FL; 1 son, Dennis Hughes (Cindy), Milton, WV; 1 sister, Oma McLane (Jack), Eleanor, WV; 2 brothers, John Burnside, Piketon, OH, and Blaine Hughes (Judy), Salem, WV; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the Ravenswood Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Shirer officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at the church at 1108 Gallatin Street, Ravenswood, WV 26164.
