Herbert Jerome Frum

Visitation Location: Roush Funeral Home Visitation Time: Tuesday, April 24 (6-9PM) & Wednesday, April 25 (12PM) Service Location: Roush Funeral Home Service Time: Wednesday, April 25 (1PM) Our Heavenly Father called His precious son, Herbert Jerome Frum, to join Him on April 18, 2018. 82 years old, Herb transitioned from earth to heaven in his sleep at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL. The dear son of the late William Hobart and Mildred Frum, beloved husband of Ruby Frum (predeceased in 2001), and loyal brother to Clinton (predeceased in 2001), William (predeceased in 2012), and Shirley McCauley. He was the loving daddy to his daughters, Kimberly (William) Campbell, Lyvonne (Bruce) Cada, and Youlonda "Yondi" Crockett; Pop to his six grandchildren, Elissa Peterson, Jessica Lopez, Ryan Campbell, Sarah Beth Cada, Nicholas Cada, Levi Crockett and his three great grandchildren, Rael Peterson, Pepe Lopez and Mckenzy Campbell, with two more on the way, Giovani Crockett and Izan Lopez. Herbert was born on May 2, 1935, in Rosemont, WV. There is where he met, fell in love and married Ruby Moore. The couple moved from Rosemont in 1958 to make Ravenswood, WV, their home. Here they became active residents of this community for over 59 years and raised their daughters. Herb began his career as a machinist at Kaiser Aluminum and after 42 years of devoted service, retired in December of 2000. Throughout his life he enjoyed so many things: the life shared with Ruby and his daughters, hunting, trapping, gardening, archery, woodworking and clogging are to name only a few. He was a member of United Steelworkers of America Local 5668, the Ravenswood Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. His family rejoices knowing their wonderful daddy, poppy and brother has been reunited with his maker and his beloved Ruby. He touched the hearts of all those he met and graced this earth with faithfulness, dignity, love and kindness. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Ruth Sergent officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 24, from 6:00 to 9:00pm and one hour before the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be expressed to the family at roush94@yahoo.com or on the Roush Funeral Home Facebook Page.
