Jarrell, 94, of Ravenswood passed away February 17th at Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg. Born on November 14, 1923 in Leet, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harmon and Effie Skeens. Mrs. Jarrell was the sixth of ten children. She married her high school sweetheart, Melvin C. (Bill) Jarrell, on October 4, 1941. They were married 61 years. She was a long time member of the Ravenswood First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her three sons: Ranald (Diane) of Arizona, Kerry (Susan) of North Carolina, and James (Debbie) of Virginia. They raised their sons in Madison and Pt Pleasant prior to moving to Ravenswood in 1970. They spent ten happy years in Anchorage, Alaska, before moving back to West Virginia in 1994. Mrs. Jarrell attended Morris Harvey College and received her Bachelor's degree from Marshall University. She taught in Pt. Pleasant and Ravenswood for 22 years. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and 8 of her siblings: Carl, Kenneth, Amber, Opal, Irma, Stanley and Merette. She is survived by her sister Naomi Sitton, brother Leslie Skeens, her sons, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Judy Butcher, Beulah's long-time friend. Judy was like a daughter to her in extending her loving care and kindness for many years. Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Karin Ritchie at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood on Monday, February 19th at noon, with burial in Madison, West Virginia the following day at 11:00 am. Friends may visit 11:00am to noon Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ravenswood First Methodist Church or the Ravenswood Free Will Baptist Church.
