She was born on January 20, 1939, to the late Fred and Edna Brown of Diamond, WV. She enjoyed her home and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Joy leaves behind her beloved son, Steven Laing and his wife Shelly, and her grandson, Colt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Laing. The funeral service for Joy will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, with Pastor Anton Hager officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, September 13, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, time of service. A private graveside service will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
