Auguste R. Freeman Warner Robins, Georgia Obituary

Auguste R. Freeman

Auguste R. Freeman, loving wife, mother, Oma and Great Oma, left this world to join her beloved husband of 55 years, William J. Freeman, Sr. in heaven, on the evening of Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was 95 years old. Born on December 26, 1926 in Augsburg, Germany, Auguste was the daughter of the late Johann Joseph Sippel and Crescentia Geyerhos Sippel. She attended college in Augsburg before marrying William and becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. Auguste was a loving mother and Oma; she would do anything for her family. Auguste was a wonderful friend to many and enjoyed socializing within many organizations throughout the community. She was a member of the Officers Club Wives’ Tennis Team and Officers Women’s Club and loved to dance at the Warner Robins Senior Citizen Center. Auguste also looked forward to attending luncheons for the German Club each month. Another of her favorite activities was working in her yard where she would plant between 300 and 400 flowers each year! Auguste was extremely proud of her yard and being selected by The Daily Sun for ‘Yard of the Year’ brought her so much joy. She enjoyed exercising, lifting weights and she walked every day. Central Baptist was her church home. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nicholas Sippel and Margarete Melvin. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Robert W. Freeman (Rhonda) of Belmont, NC and Cynthia R. Joyner (Bryan) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Rachel Friel (Jay), Rebeca Freeman, Robbie Freeman, Brittany Regina Simpson (Tyler) and Nicholas Ervin William Joyner; and great-grandchildren, Carson Simpson and James Friel. Visitation with Auguste’s family will be Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Central Baptist Church. Auguste will be laid to rest next to her husband in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
