Mrs. Era Arrington Pollard

Mrs. Era Arrington Pollard, 88, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Riverside Health and Rehab. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Pollard will be held on Thursday, August 4, at 11:00 AM, in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Rex King officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Pollard was born in Tifton, GA, on January 3, 1934, to the late Ivory Henry Arrington and Lula Noles Arrington. She was employed for a number of years as a greeter for Walmart in Thomaston. Mrs. Pollard was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband, William Nathan Pollard; two daughters: Jane Alsobrooks and Carol Pollard; a son, James Andrew Polllard; five brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne (Jerry) Carroll of Thomaston; her son, William Alan Pollard of Macon, GA; a sister: Geneva Tomlin of Manchester, GA; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
