Wanda B. Phillips, 90, of Marietta, OH passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1932 in Marietta, OH to the late Charles and Eva Craig Keerps. Wanda attended Marietta Schools where she met her husband, Ray Phillips. They were married on October 24, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2009 after 60 years of marriage. Together they owned and operated Marietta Bus Lines from 1963-1970. After that she was employed by Wasco until her retirement on September 30, 1992. She was a life member of Gilman United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and Red Hat Society. She was also a member of the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department where she served as an EMT and the O'Neill Senior Center. She enjoyed camping, traveling with her husband, and Wednesday lunches with her church friends. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Rowe; nieces and nephews, Bonnie K. Rake, Floyd D. Keerps, Daniel C. Keerps, Floyd “Butch” Hinzman, Eva Jean Hinzman; great niece, Sheri Schwartz and great nephew, Brian Schwartz. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Edward Leon Keerps, Robert D. Keerps, Floyd M. Keerps and Ethel “Kate” Hinzman. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Avenue, Marietta with Pastor Doug Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday. Online condolences may be made at www.hadleyfh.com.
