Michael D. Heiser Drums, Pennsylvania Obituary

Michael D. Heiser

Michael D. Heiser, 44, of Drums, passed away Sunday morning at his home. Born in Hazleton, June 22, 1978, he is the son of Richard and Judith Ann (Minnig) Heiser, also of Drums and was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, Hazle Township. A 1996 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, Michael went on to be a successful entrepreneur in the restaurant business. He was currently co-owner of several regional Japanese Hibachi Restaurants. His business sense and generosity led to the success of his restaurant group which was currently growing and poised to expand into the Mountaintop and Bethlehem areas. Mike was a caring person who was always eager to lend a helping hand to his family and friends and loved to frequent Cuz-N-Joe’s in Conyngham to spend time unwinding. He was a huge Howard Stern fan and cologne connoisseur and had an interest in exotic cars. He enjoyed taking relaxing drives anywhere and loved to travel, especially to New England and the Salem and Boston areas. Mike is preceded in death only by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his fiancé Jennifer Ann Kresge and his son Jonah Michael Heiser; sister Victoria Lynn Tilp of Lattimer; nephew David Edward Tilp of Drums and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 5:00 PM at the Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home – Crematory, 530 West Butler Drive, Drums. Rev. Dr. M. Jane Hess of Faith United Church of Christ will preside. Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home Thursday for a viewing period that will begin at 3:00 PM and continue until time of service. Memorial Donations to the Faith United Church of Christ, 21 Faith Drive, Hazleton, PA 18202 are welcomed by the family.
