Angela Marie Ann Raffa, 83, a longtime Dobbs Ferry resident, wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister, sadly passed away on Tuesday June 18th. Born in New York City she moved to Dobbs Ferry in 1938. Angela was the daughter of the late Rosario "Willie" and Carmela "Millie" DiDonato. Angela graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School in 1947 and married her high school sweetheart, Stanley Paul Raffa on April 19, 1952. Stanley and Angie were married nearly 50 years when she was predeceased by her husband in February 2002. While Angie was a loving mother and proud homemaker, she also worked many different jobs throughout her lifetime including, Sonotone in Elmsford, NY; school crossing guard; religious education teacher; worked the polls during election days, babysitting , and was an office assistant to McCormick & Thornton, Esq. in Dobbs Ferry for many years. She loved dogs and enjoyed ceramics; crossword puzzles; the Jersey shore and beach; tending to her plants; cooking and entertaining for family holidays and she could usually be found making breakfast at 3am for her husband and the men of the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department at our house after an early morning fire. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church. She is survived by her devoted children, Stanley Raffa, Jr., Gary Margaret Raffa and Daryl Marc Sudlow ; cherished grandchildren Gary-John Raffa, Derek Raffa, Samantha Sudlow and Sean Sudlow; loving siblings Gertrude Bauer and Joseph Elizabeth DiDonato . She is also survived by two sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Mass of the Resurrection Thursday 9:30am Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Dobbs Ferry.
