Marie O'Neil, 90, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, one of nine children born to Rocco and Mary De Marco. Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and dedicated everything to her family, friends, and the Church. In her life, she was a loving homemaker, and had a beloved passion for cooking. After many long and happy years, she retired to Lakewood, New Jersey with her husband, Fred. In her later years, she moved to Ardsley, NY to be with her daughter and grandchildren. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Fred in 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Pat Acocella, her son, Joseph Patricia O'Neil, her grandchildren, Katie and John, brothers, Joseph, Michael, Jack, and Lenny, as well as sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, and many cousins and friends. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Tony and Bill, and her sisters, Hilda and Anne. She was loved by everyone that knew her, and will be dearly missed. Visiting hours are from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9th at Edward-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Avenue, Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522, and Mass of the Resurrection is at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 10th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 535 Ashford Avenue, Ardsley, NY 10502.
