Stanley Finkelstein

Stanley Finkelstein, 85, of White Plains died on April 2, 2013. Born in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Issac and Ida Finkelstein. Stanley served his country in the US Army during World War II. After returning home from the military, he worked as a government employee for the United States Postal Service FDR Station in New York City. In 1964, Stanley married his love Sherry and was married for over 40 years. He was a proud and active member of Woodlands Community Temple in Greenburgh, NY. Stanley had a love of sports, but particularly for baseball and football. He was an avid NY Mets and NY Jets fan. Stanley also had a passion for reading. He especially enjoyed mystery and spy novels. Stanley had an appreciation for jazz music and all genres of movies. He will be greatly missed. Stanley is survived by his sons Andrew Nancy and Evan and grandchildren Lily and Tyler.
